A step into the unknown

Contributed as a Level Designer on Plutoverse, an innovative MMO centered on social interaction and community building. This project presented a unique shift in design philosophy, moving away from traditional combat-oriented layouts toward environments specifically engineered to foster player socialization. Working alongside a highly talented multidisciplinary team, I focused on solving complex spatial challenges to facilitate organic player connection and friendship.

  • Socially-Driven Level Design: Pioneered new design methodologies to encourage player-to-player interaction, utilizing open-concept layouts and "conversation hubs" to lower the barrier for social engagement.

  • Architectural Psychology: Explored and implemented spatial theories to make environments feel approachable and inclusive, ensuring the world’s flow naturally led players into shared communal spaces.

  • Collaborative Problem Solving: Partnered with a team of elite industry talent to align environmental aesthetics with social gameplay goals, contributing to a project culture defined by constant learning and creative synergy.

  • Iterative Design: Prototyped and refined social zones based on player movement patterns, focusing on how environmental cues can nudge players toward collaboration and networking.
