Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Remake
Recreating the magic
Prince of Persia Sand of Time is an all-time classic and I had the privilege to help recreate the same experience for modern machines. This was my first dip into the AAA gaming industry. I was able to contribute to many crucial levels of the game. I also got introduced to the tools used in-house exclusive to Ubisoft and it was a very eye-opening experience. I managed to get acquainted with their workflow and integrated myself to support the development process smoothly. My colleagues and seniors put faith in me and assigned me as an important stakeholder for important game systems such as the loading/unloading of different regions based on checkpoints and also the save and load system. After over half a year in the studio, I was also capable enough to help newer employees get integrated just as I was at the beginning.
The training provided by my college prepared me to be able to utilize myself for this project. I was able to learn the trades of a level designer in a much greater depth thanks to my colleagues, seniors, and many other role models.
